OpenRA's primary focus is cross-platform multiplayer between Windows, OS X, and Linux however, we include a number of single-player missions, and also support skirmish games against AI bots. These are not intended to be perfect copies, but instead combine the classic gameplay of the originals with modern improvements such as unit veterancy and the fog of war. We include recreations of C and C (Tiberian Dawn), C and C: Red Alert, and Dune 2000. OpenRA is a Free Real Time Strategy project that recreates the classic Command and Conquer titles. The mod tries to optimize balancing and gameplay. The D2k mod for OpenRA is a reimagining of Dune 2000. Also new features are implemented such as snow terrain, neutral tech buildings and many glitches from the original have been fixed. As with Red Alert modern networking and rendering technology is used. The CNC mod for OpenRA is a reimagining of the original Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn game. A single player campaign is currently being worked on. ![]() It has fully working multiplayer support for both internet and local play (via direct connect). The UI is modernised for higher resolutions and better usabiltiy. It is not just a clone of the original but has improved and rebalanced gameplay. The RA mod for OpenRA is a reimagining of Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Tools are provided that allow you to add new units, maps and tilesets even create your own mod.
